Student loan refunds?

I applied as was approved for a Chase select graduate student loan. There was no outstanding balance on my student account prior to the loan. However there is a credit on my account, what happens to that money? Will it be sent back to Chase Bank? I thought the school sends the students the balance of the funds once there is no balance on the student account.

It should be sent to you as a refund; this is what normally happens with any leftover amount from any aid you have. Unless Chase has a different policy, I don't see why you shouldn't get it. Give it a little time, and if nothing happens, then contact your financial aid office and ask about the credit.

Reply:As far as I know you will receive the funds that are leftover after paying all of the money that you owe the university, you should recieve the leftover funds in the form of a check.
Reply:Each school will have a different policy, but the money is yours. Ask the bursars office how you get the money. Some will send checks and others will credit an account. At some schools you have to ask for the credit amount or it will just sit there.
