Student loan and rebate...yeah I didn't get mine either.....?

My SSN# ends in 09. I went on to the IRS website and entered my info. from my filed 2007 1040 form into their calculator. It said I should get a $900.00 rebate. I also tried the 'Where is my Rebate" and it stated that it could not tell me where my rebate was. I do have a student loan out but I am not due to start paying that back until July. Would they put my rebate towards my student loan? I just can't find any info. on if the checks our delayed or not. I did use TaxAct to file my taxes but my statement shows that my dd of my Tax Refund was from the government and not a 3rd party bank. So I'm at a loss. Thanks!

No, they wouldn't take your rebate toward your student loan unless it was in default status, so you're OK there.





It's possible that you filed too late to make the first round of rebates. Your return has to have been PROCESSED, not just received, by 4/15, and there's no way to know just when it was processed.
