Help student cries?

okay, say that a student comes to you really upset and cries to you, after they say that they want you to leave them alone. the student is having family problems. if you say to them "did you make an appointment with the guidance counselor, no?" (cause you know they didnt) and the student says, "i dont want to talk tothem." and you say "but you came to me" and the student looks down, crying, does this mean that they trust you over other people? explain please?

Help student cries?
if the student wants to talk with you rather than the counselor, they think more highly about you than the counselors. You should sit down with them and talk just the two of you in your room or somewhere at school. The student just needs to feel like someone cares about them, and that some one will listen. Please take the time to help that person because you may just make a difference in their life!!!!
Reply:If this is one of your students he/she probably feels safe with you. If it is not one of your students, he/she probably likes you and feels comfortable enough to talk to you. It is best if you can either persuade the student to go with you to talk with the school counselor or if the counselor can be on hand when the student comes by again.
Reply:seems like they trust you,
Reply:I would say this student feels comfortable speaking with you.
