Student and teacher, aged 23 and 30-odd...?

Female student attends sixth form where male teacher works. Student is 23 and only there part-time. Teacher (aged 30-odd) doesn't teach student. Would teacher be put off if student attempted to pursue him?

Student and teacher, aged 23 and 30-odd...?
They say, "don't fish in the company pond" for a reason. Same goes here. It can get pretty weird once your feelings are out there. I say look elsewhere.
Reply:I think that if this student really likes this teacher she would not want to put his career in jeopardy, if the student likes him enough she will wait until she has completed her studies and then they could have a relationship.
Reply:What do you mean put off. He could like you but its kind of weird. you two could likeit then but then think if you broke up what would happen with his teaching of you.
Reply:If he is her teacher then it is illegal for him to get involved with her.
Reply:it is an infatuation!!! don't do anything!!! don't do anything!!!
Reply:If you do that you are stupid! that is a no go get someone your level and age.
Reply:Ok, this is a very risky situation.

1st - the age difference = approx. 10 years.

2nd - a relationship with a student could cost him his job or at the very least the respect of his peers.

3rd - you are a stranger to him, ie. you are not in his class.

4th - he prob gets chatted up by a lot of students so won't necessarily take you seriously anyway.

5th - check the ring finger - is he married? Long term relationship? Maybe gay?

The short of all of this is that i doubt he would risk his career on someone he genuinely fancied, nevermind some random student in none of his class.

He's not going to look at you twice. If you are deadly serious about him, the least you could do is wait until you leave.
