Student Loans?

I am starting to apply for student loans and the one I am looking at is a private student loans and says "graduate and undergraduate students may not borrow in excess of the estimated annual expense of the program they are enrolled in." Does that mean just tuition and books, or does that include rent and other living expenses?

Student Loans?
The "cost of attendance" is more than just tuition and books. It is a figure the college has determined which includes living expenses, personal expenses, the cost of transportation and sometimes even a computer and others.

Usually this amount is posted somewhere on the schools website... it just takes a little time to find it.

PS Private loans are evil. You will get substandard interest rates and term, higher destination fees, not to mention a credit check and a likely require a cosigner. Take out federal Stafford loans for grad school. No cosigner and no credit check.
Reply:Usually just tuition. There are other loans available for living expenses and rent. Some to base their total on the average cost of a semester living on campus, but check to make sure. Did yo fill out your FAFSA?
