Well now he when to another bank called M%26amp;I Bank and heis about to get a account there eather a checking or student account, but I was wondering since he is going to start fresh in a new bank and he is going to apply for a credit card (student) will he be denied once again? mean i dont undestand if so he is a current student, and decent credit. ....... what do you think about this

Student credit card!!!! help?
Going negative in your bank account will only affect your credit score if you don't pay it back. USBank may have denied him because he doesn't have enough credit history, or because he doesn't make enough money to support another credit card payment. If he's paying his credit card and car payments on time and paying more than the minimum monthly payment, he should have good credit. It's possible that another bank will deny him for a credit card, especially if he was just denied. It doesn't look good on your credit report to apply for a lot of credit cards in a short period of time. Every time your credit report is pulled, it makes your score go down a few points. Tell him to wait a while before applying for another card.
Reply:not enough credit history. he should keep paying on time every month...use less than 15% of his total credit limits and then he can try again in about 14months.

good luck
Reply:As the name suggests, a student credit card is specially designed for students and is very different from your regular credit card. Because it may be the first time for college students to apply for a credit card, most credit card companies designed their student credit cards to be a form of secured credit cards.

It will help a student to avoid accumulating high amounts of debt because of reckless spending. If you need groceries, or that recommended book but you don't have the money for it, then it may be time for you to use your student credit card. It is good if you start learning good financial habits from your student life itself. Don't use the card to pay for everything and anything. Use it judicially or it will land you in a debt to repay after the college finishes.
