Regarding a earlier questions student or job , is it possible to be a student your whole life,?

I ve been college for about 4 years and did some tempory work is well in between, but I had one job that lasted for quite some time, actually I was thinking of keeping the job, but it was too hard , and i actually think being a student is alot better, just keep taking courses and be really really educated , no one can say anything about that





when ever someone tells me what I do I say im a student, so when im 30 im a student , 40 im a student , 50 im a student, lol





see it aint all that bad, and when I meet a partner and he says what i do just say im a student , its a good idea , what do you think

I am a mature student and compared to the jobs I have done this is much better and I am thoroughly enjoying doing my degree, however all good things must come to an end and hopefully getting my degree will facilitate me in getting a better standard of job, which will hopefully be even more enjoyable ( and financially better!) than being a student.

Reply:Maybe you should take some ESOL classes to back up your claim.
Reply:Lets face it there are bills to pay and someday you will want your own home. You could still take night courses I suppose. But its expensive and time consuming and it takes energy. Thosw who work alot dont always have the time or the inclination to do so. At least you are on your way to a degree. Good luck.
Reply:Certainly one should be at least a "student of life", living up to the maxim that to live is to learn. However, being a full-time student or what has been termed a "professional student" requires the ability to pay for your living (food, rent, clothes, etc.) and educational expenses (tuition, books, etc.). If you are independently wealthy, then its your money, do with it as you will. Otherwise you are a freeloader.





Who is paying all these expenses? Mom and Dad? Newsflash: they will not be there forever nor will their ability (or willingness) to pay remain constant, unless they are independently wealthy. Are you receiving some kind of public subsidy? Then it is the taxpayer who is footing the bill and why should the general public work to keep you in school and away from productive labour that you found "too hard"?





One final comment, and I don't intend to be mean, but I must say that four years of college should certainly result in a better command of the English language than demonstrated in your question. Perhaps you were just being lazy or careless and are capable of better than the question indicates. However, if you are capable of writing college level papers in any subject you should be capable of better English than ""when ever someone tells me what I do I say im a student". (Should read: "Whenever anyone asks me what I do, I say I'm a student.")
